A collection that fuses sport with rhythm and retro gaming culture.

A Creative Reunion

adidas Originals and Brain Dead have teamed up once again, presenting a head-turning capsule that celebrates the bold spirit of the early 2000s.

The duo’s latest project follows previous collaborations. These were inspired by tennis culture, Japanese wrestling, and classic adidas silhouettes. Their partnership is defined by experimentation and cultural crossover.

This December, the two brands revisit their shared love of nostalgia with a head-to-toe collection. It merges the athletic vibe of vintage sportswear with the glitchy pulse of turn-of-the-millennium video games.

The Apparel Edit

The apparel line is drenched in early-2000s attitude. Imagine silver tones, reflective finishes, and strong paneling drawn straight from the adidas archive. Highlights include a Japanese Noragi-inspired Climacool track top with matching pants. There is also a metallic football-style jersey and shorts, along with a bold all-over print goalkeeper jersey.

Classic wardrobe staples, like track tops, track pants, and a t-shirt, feature signature Brain Dead graphics. They also include custom crests that nod to both brands’ artistic DNA. Finishing touches come through in accessories like a structured sling bag and versatile beanie. These elements tie the capsule together from head to toe.

Archival Icons Reinvented

Footwear stands at the center of this story. The adidas Originals x Brain Dead collection revisits two silhouettes from the archives the Climacool 2 and the Taekwondo Mei.

The Climacool 2, first released in 2003, arrives with a futuristic refresh. It features metallic vents, reflective green mesh, and yellow accents that flash with movement. Meanwhile, the Taekwondo Mei Brain Dead balances sleek minimalism and nostalgia. It features a black upper, white stripes, and an off-white outsole. This design is a modern nod to classic martial arts aesthetics.

Collectibles That Capture the Era

Adding a playful dimension, Brain Dead and adidas Originals have created two limited-edition collectibles inspired by vintage video game culture. These figures embody the era’s sense of experimentation and fun, translating early-2000s design quirks through Brain Dead’s surreal creative lens.

Exclusive to CONFIRMED, the collectibles will be raffled during the collection’s launch. While the full apparel and footwear range is available for purchase, these figures can only be won through raffle entry. This adds a true collector’s edge.

Launch Details

Arriving in limited quantities on December 18, the adidas Originals x Brain Dead collection will be available via CONFIRMED, select adidas stores, select retailers, and online at wearebraindead.com.
