Reimagining the 1976 Boston Through Kith’s Design Language

Debuting in 1976, the Boston clog has been one of Birkenstock’s most enduring icons, renowned for its effortless slip-on construction, ergonomic comfort, and unmistakable silhouette.

For this collaboration, Kith reinterprets the classic through its refined, lifestyle-focused aesthetic, enhancing the model with elevated materials and new details, including:

  • Premium suede uppers for a soft, luxurious hand feel

  • A braided nubuck trim wrapped along the mudguard for added craftsmanship

  • Kith Script engraving on the buckle, offering subtle yet distinctive co-branding

While its look is updated, the shoe retains Birkenstock’s signature cork-latex footbed made from natural cork, jute, latex, and suede, ensuring that comfort and support remain at the core of the experience.
