Unrivaled, the player-founded professional women’s basketball league presented by Samsung Galaxy, has signed a multiyear deal with Thorne that makes the science-led wellness brand both the Official Sports Nutrition Partner of the league and the jersey patch partner of Breeze BC. The agreement marks Thorne’s first official women’s sports partnership, signalling a deeper investment in elite women’s performance on and off the court.
Multiyear Deal Spans League And Breeze BC
Under the partnership, Thorne becomes only the second club-specific jersey patch partner in Unrivaled, with its logo set to appear on the left shoulder of Breeze BC jerseys this season. Breeze BC – one of Unrivaled’s two expansion clubs alongside Hive BC – features star names including Paige Bueckers, Cameron Brink, and Dominique Malonga, positioning Thorne on the kit of one of the league’s most talked-about rosters.
The multiyear scope of the deal gives Thorne a runway to help shape Unrivaled’s high-performance infrastructure as the league moves into its second season. Unrivaled’s 2026 campaign will tip off on January 5, 2026, keeping momentum high after the league’s January 2025 launch.
Elevating On-Site Nutrition And Women’s Sports Science
Founded in 1984, Thorne is known for its high-quality ingredients, clinical research backing, and in-house team of doctors, researchers, and scientists. The brand offers one of the largest NSF Certified for Sport® product portfolios on the market, making it a trusted resource for 100-plus professional sports teams, multiple U.S. National Teams, and thousands of professional athletes.
As part of the agreement, Thorne will supply NSF Certified for Sport® products – including Whey Protein Isolate, Magnesium Bisglycinate, Creatine, and more – to power fueling and recovery for Unrivaled athletes. The two partners will also co-build an innovation platform dedicated to research and product development in the underserved women’s sports science space, aiming to better tailor performance solutions to women’s specific needs.
Player Lounge Naming Rights At Sephora Arena
Beyond the jersey patch, Thorne is deepening its footprint through the physical environment players use every day. The company has secured naming rights for the expanded player’s lounge at Sephora Arena, which has been redesigned around direct player feedback to focus on post-workout and post-game recovery needs.
At the heart of the upgraded lounge is a new refuelling station built around Thorne products, giving players easy access to vetted supplements in an environment designed specifically for them. In-arena, Thorne will also feature across displays and broadcast-visible signage, tying together behind-the-scenes support and fan-facing visibility.
Leadership On Performance, Recovery And Wellness
Susan Borchardt, Director of Performance and Recovery at Unrivaled, said, “Unrivaled has redefined the standard of support elite female athletes deserve. Thorne shares in that vision, and the synergy is natural…Their incredibly clean, research-backed products will enhance our player care—together we’ll elevate performance, optimize recovery and promote overall wellness for the women of this league.”
Colin Watts, Thorne CEO, said, “Unrivaled is raising the bar for women’s sports, and we’re proud to support that momentum…Thorne is committed to providing athletes with science, innovation, and resources they need to perform and recover at the highest level. Our NSF Certified for Sport products are rigorously tested for purity, potency, and efficacy, giving athletes supplements they can trust. By investing in Unrivaled players today and in their futures, we’re helping advance women’s sports performance and supporting athletes in reaching new heights, backed by the highest level of science and innovation.”
Unrivaled’s Player-Owned Model And Thorne’s Tech Edge
Co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, Unrivaled is a player-owned professional league built on a 3-on-3, compressed full-court format that features many of the top women’s basketball players in the world across eight clubs. The structure gives athletes equity opportunities and a vested interest in the league’s long-term success, aligning closely with partners that prioritise athlete wellbeing and development.
On the Thorne side, the company is pairing its supplements with digital tools like Taia, its AI-powered wellness advisor that helps individuals navigate products and build personalised health journeys. Together, Unrivaled and Thorne are setting a new benchmark for how women’s leagues and performance brands can collaborate around science-led care, from locker room to lab.
