This latest report tells an exciting story about how rapidly new communities are forming whether around digital cameras, Pokémon trading cards, or collectibles like Labubu.

The energy of our customers and the passion they have for the product continues to shape what’s next”.

Runners Lead the Pack: Performance Silhouettes Dominate

The “Runner Aesthetic” defined 2025. ASICS sales soared 45% year-over-year, led by the ASICS Gel-1130 Black/Pure Silver the year’s top-selling sneaker on StockX.

Saucony (+38%), Mizuno (+148%), and Brooks (+1,508%) all posted record growth as niche running models hit the mainstream.

Slim Sneakers and Minimalist Styles Go Viral

Slim profiles took over, with every major brand in on the trend. The New Balance 204L became the brand’s top new model, and Nike’s Total 90 3 cracked the year’s best-seller lists, alongside adidas’ ballet-inspired Samba Jane and the Onitsuka Tiger TGRS.

Even collabs like the Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe and Onitsuka Tiger x Versace sparked anticipation for 2026’s sneaker drops.

Basketball Shoes Make a Comeback

2025 saw a renaissance in performance basketball sneakers. Nike’s Ja 3 and A’ja Wilson’s A’One were top sellers, while Converse enjoyed its biggest month since 2022 thanks to the Shai 001.

Still, the Nike Kobe 6 Protro is king sales rose over 100% and the silhouette remains the market’s best-selling performance basketball shoe.

Ugly-Cute Collectibles and the Labubu Phenomenon

Collectibles became big business with “ugly-cute” leading the charge. Labubu held the market’s top spot, with newer names like Crybaby, Hacipupu (+281%) and Skullpanda (+132%) all posting massive gains. The Pop Mart and blind box craze shows no signs of slowing down.

Trading Cards: Nostalgia, FOMO, and Record Returns

Trading card action exploded, mixing retro appeal with investment value. Pokémon sales jumped 339%, Topps leapt 127%, and Magic: The Gathering soared over 700%.

“A strong release calendar stacked with coveted, limited-edition releases has also played a big role in making 2025 a landmark year for the category,” noted StockX analysts.

Digital Cameras: A Surprising Revival

StockX reports digital cameras as a breakout hit. Searches for “Canon G7X” jumped nearly 2,000%, while camera keychains from Supreme and Kodak racked up triple-digit resale premiums.

Over $6 million was spent on Canon alone proof that nostalgia and retro tech are back in style.

What’s Next? Holiday Wishlist and Upcoming Drops

The Favorite feature on StockX showed that the Jordan 4, Jordan 5, ASICS Gel-1130, and Nike Ja 3 are set to be this year’s most sought-after gifts.

As 2026 approaches, the market’s blend of nostalgia, innovation, and community is likely to shape the next wave of sneaker, collectible, and tech obsessions.
